3 Simple Yet Effective Sleep Rules Everyone Should Follow
Don't Sleep Too Much: Sleeping too much could basically equal the same thing as not getting as much sleep as you need -- at least when it comes to feeling groggy in the morning. Therefore, if you are sleeping for eight, nine or even 10-plus hours a day, and you find yourself tired in the morning, then roll back on those hours. Try sleeping for six to eight hours and see if that does the trick. Reminder: While eight hours of sleep each night is typically the common theme, everyone is different.
Don't Sleep Too Little: Of course, if you aren't getting enough sleep each night, then you are not going to be on top of your game. If you are sleeping only a few hours each night, then the simple fix might be sleeping more. However, if you are still getting six to seven hours of sleep each night and you are tired in the morning, then try eight or nine hours. The key is to find your golden number, and then stick to it.
Incorporate A Sleep Schedule: Most people go to bed at relatively the same time each night and wake up at relatively the same time each morning. If you want to get the most out of your mind and body, though, you should incorporate a strict sleep schedule. No, it's not going to kill you if you are a few minutes off each night, but try to go to bed at the same time each night and wake up at the same time each morning. Yes, even on the weekends. Your body will get into a rhythm if you follow this plan, and it will naturally know when to go to sleep and wake up. This little trick could lead to you being at your best every single day of the week.
